I was lucky enough to visit the press preview of the Liverpool Biennial yesterday and saw some really interesting pieces of art work and installations. It really has become an important date and event in the world's contemporary art calendar. Loads of visitors from the city and a wide and interesting selection of artists and their work on show.
The event's hub is in the Old Blind School. The building has had interesting uses in the past, from being the Merseyside Police Headquarters, through to a Trades Union centre. I had some work in part of it at the end of last year as part of the Hidden Places show and also I blogged about a load of graffiti I found there on my Liverpool Photographer Tumblr.
The 8th edition of the Liverpool Biennial launches for the first time in the summer. It is the largest international contemporary art festival in the United Kingdom. For ten weeks, every two years, the city of Liverpool hosts an extensive range of artworks, projects, and a programme of events. The Biennial is a platform for research, commissioning and presenting international art, education and debate. It takes place from 5 July to 26 October 2014.
Below are a few images. If you are displaying work and want some great photography to document it, or press after images for a publication or website - please don't hesitate to get in touch.

"David designed the website for a new company I've started with colleagues. He produced an excellent website for a very reasonable price, had great ideas and was easy and pleasant to deal with throughout. He responded very quickly to our requests and I would strongly recommend him."
